You must visualize the fish - besides, Cheney said there is one in there

Not for nuthin but all I see is a seagull feather underwater right next to seagull tracks in the snow along the shoreline.

Am I missing something or are these 14hr days making me hallucinate?

Congrads Katie! Actually I was pretty fond of your pick. I could definately picture myself standing there looking down at the sand & water. From a photography standpoint also cool....it has a focal point and depth

How about a rotating front page....a page that changes every (day or hour even), you just load a queue of photos to display like a screen saver.

I'm working on some new site stuff, one will be the ability to post a "story" and image on the front page that I would like members here to be able to submit too...

Unfortunately, hourly and even daily is way too frequently for me to update but a frequently changing page would be certainly possible with contributions from the members here...

I was thinking of an automatic means to update the page...like a screen saver. Surely there has to be a script out there someplace that can do this for a web image.

One of the items I may do is to have a rotating image independent of the front page "story" too. I have done it on other sites. Once I get the main part done and see how big the page is I might do that too (can't sacrifice load times)

Not worried about my page load but that of the lucky soul running on a dial up - they still do exist...

I'm looking at a CMS front end...

There are soooo many of those to choose from.
I played with a bunch but never found *one* that was really really nice.

My first concern would be css layouts
Then praying for good solid postgres compatability (I've almost completely sworn off MySQL, Postgres has shaped up very very nicely)

There are a few decent open source ones, Joomla / Mambo, Drupal, Plone, etc... I prefer the stability and granular control of Drupal but the module / component availability for Joomla...

MySQL for now, Postgres? Maybe someday...

Actually we knew there were fish there because somebody caught one there a few years back, so there still has to be fish there now.
