Grand dads are Dads! too
i once hooked a kid by his ear lobe and he was crying very loudly
i did not know he was standing behind me watching me fish
i felt so bad for hooking his ear poor ear...on a back cast
that i gave him around 4 bucks in change...allot of coin in those days
and then he was the happiest kid in the world

Dad, around 1945, during the Second World War. I wasn't around yet to be in the picture with him. Dad, is still around, and not in the best of health today. But I have fond memories, as a child, just being with dad.
Times I'll always remember.

This doesn't qualify me for this giveaway I know but on this day I can't help but have a heavy heart remembering the man who first took me fishing. Although it wasn't for monster Bass on the cape, those days on the islands off Wollaston beach soaking sea worms slamming flounder were some of the best days of my life. Those experiences planted the seeds that make me the avid angler I am today. Dad I love you, I miss you, and you will always be #1 in my heart. Rest in peace pops.

Any shots of my kids fishing with me, and of my late dad are locked on a dead computer's drive....
But here's one with the twins at my fiftieth, a few years ago.. 16 is such a lovely age....

Great thread -
See front page for pic of my Dad. The man who taught me how to fish and play hockey. I thank him every day for giving me those two things. From tying my skates at 5:30 in the morning, to tying up leaders for me at sunset. Thankfully, now I can do both on my own.
