Already started snowing down here, started about 9:30 and its snowing heavily. If this lasts like it is right now until tomorrow morning we will probably get well over a foot of the devil dust.

Some flurries around here. Temp doesn't seem to be climbing as predicted...

Snow really picked up in the past 1/2 hour. Radar looks like it's on...

I thought it wasn't supposed to get going until 7pm WTF???

Temp is still way down. Perhaps the warm air isn't coming and we're going to get more snow than predicted.

there was a seperate low, preceding the big event, that now is dumping alot of snow down here. the NWS just updated the snow totals.

Not sure if I can get off the island in about 2 hours. there was a food fight at the Stop and Shop over white eggs!!!

Unhappy I am not having fun

this wild weather is trying to kill me

the snow is about to Crush all my work
that i DID all year from april 1rst til thanksgiving
just way to much weight building up

I spent 5 hours doing snow removal today
getting cold, wet and exhausted
because you'd step in a hole and be stuck
in snow up to your crotch or belly button
difficult to get out of too

today i tipped over and sunk so deep it pushed up my
long underwear top UP and sweatshirt ect.
and dumped snow down my butt-crack
ah yes -->that was refreshing.....

ALL i do now is snow removal ,,,,non stop

heres some pics.... of the before ....

the left side is the deepest and the most difficult but i am making progress...i know it just looks like a hill .....but the 7 foot tall greenhouse is there...

here;'s the other side where i blazed a trail today and the red line indicates where its OVER my HEAD....

I am making room

what sucks is....you cannot use
sharp objects around the 6 mil plastic

you run the risk of tearing it....

so i have to put on my PONCHO and literally
swim the snow down like a friggan human MOLE
right now i'm shaping the snow slope so it'll go easier

i also am going inside punching the speed bag
the plastic between hoops
and doing elbo slams ,pushes to get it to slide

i feel like Sylvester STalone in ROCKY
for cryin out loud....and i'm in training
for a friggan boxing match

Just drove back to Gloucester from Woods Hole... Pretty heavy snow in WH started around 12. Slowly petered off once we got north of the cape, light flurries here now.

Matt (NECN) b u c k i n g the trend and doesn't believe the models: forecasting 10+" south of line extending from Cape Ann to Bridgeport CT. All of Cape now 10+", any early rain quickly changing back to snow.

BTW: Matt yesterday said snow would start much earlier in afternoon than anyone else predicted. Seems he was correct on that point!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

So how did the Cornell guy do with Cape forecast? He got my area right!

Ended up with around a foot here. Funny... light flurries from 1900-2200, then it stopped. I went to bed at around 2330... Woke up at 630, and there was a foot on the ground. Must have all come down at once.

So... the question on everyone's mind...

When's the next one?

Why won't this site permit the word: b u c k i n g (without spaces)?

I think I took the storm pointer home . Work from Home tomorrow.

Thunder snow is possible, along with lots of wind for 6-8 hours tonight.

Watching this stuff on nexrad is awesome...would rather be fishing though.
