Ok so how do you actually find the albies, is this all just chasing birds and bait around or can you set up in a location, such as an inlet and blind cast for them?

Albies everywhere today but could not get one to bite. We launched Fairhaven to woods hole to pompenessett flats to hedge fence to oak bluffs to mid-nashon and back through woods hole to Fairhaven.

Probably passed right by you today Buzz. We found them along the Elizabeth Islands today with numbskull. Not tons but here and there as we bass fished. If I can get out in tin boat I may give it a go on Tuesday morn before I go to work. . I will look for you guys out there. I'll be putting in at East Bay.
as Far as set up I use 20lb braid with a 20lb fluro tied with a slim beauty knot. I use a stradic 5000. I tie direct to lure. I like small metal, my own, deadly #^^^^&s, maria lures, small crippled herrings. I luv 4 inch white sluggos if you are getting close to them. Better than metal as they stay in the strike zone longer. Most exhilarating, aggravating, fishing I know of.

nope. I actually prefer this wind as it allows me to get out in my 14' tin boat. Southerlies make it tough for me.
They were in pretty close today. I had 5 fish on but only was able to get my hands on 2. I will say this they were the largest albies I have ever caught. One was 29" long and took my around 10 minutes to get in. All this action took place in about a 45 min. window, around 9:30. After that I found many pods and had lots of really good chances but no luck till 2 when I left. I covered a lot of ground for a tin boat. I did not see many fish caught in the whole area I fished today, actually didn't see one but I am sure someone in the area got at least one. I was all my my lonesome when I caught the fish I got. Lots of guys out there and I did not catch anything when fishing amongst the boats. I ran into Niko and fish4striper and they had come from the west and said they had a decent morning. I did see a lot of the larger boats head that way around 8:30 and never come back so I assume it was better in that direction. All were caught on a 4" white sluggo's.
To the kayak guys thinking of going Friday, I think it is worthwhile. Plenty there just got to hope they will eat your offering. They were in close and probably 10 to 15 kayak's out there so plenty of company. I'd get out there early. Good luck if you go. Here is what they are eating.

I was in the fray today took a lil while but finally found em, only managed one blind casting, and had 3 or 4 good shots at fish. Paul does your tin boat have a little pole stand on the back? I didnt wanna bother anyone so I just kept to myself. I only saw one other guy hookup but he lost it after a good 5 min fight

No J. Just some nit wit standing which may resemble a pole. Says deep fisherman on side ugly beige yellowish color.
Good going. What time did the catch take place? Just wondering.

I hope you filled all those trash bags with a deserved present!
