#^&#^&#^&#^&ing Fish

Well now I know where they all went. Had plenty of shots, but still have yet to land one. Had one follow my metal right up to the rock I was on. I've been stubborn when it comes to light leader and tying direct. That all changes tomorrow. We will see if it makes a difference. The bug has hit in a big way.

Hope so. This is basically the 2nd year I've targeted them and the first year seriously. I have been using 30lb Suffix with 30lb flouro. Like I said I was stubborn, but after being unsuccessful the last week and with all the fish around, I admit I'm doing something wrong. Tomorrow four feet of 12lb flouro and no extra hardware. Uni to uni. With the water so clear and the sun high it 'should' help. We will see. Just need the fish to show up and test it out.

Growing a beard was on my Bucket list and figured the way I am knocking fish off the Bucket List last/this year, I might as well do the beard, too.

Had only a 5 minute shot at them yesterday, if that. They seem to have disbursed for the time being. Going to kill me not to hunt them down today, but have less important things I have to do.

Did not see the boat guys doing much at all yesterday, but they were much further out than previous days.

Any recent intel anyone wants to pass along, public or PM? Going tomorrow out of Fairhaven so I can cover Buzz Bay, Vineyard Sound, Woods Hole, Falmouth, Westport to Newport. Taking Fishbucket/son and don't think either has caught them (at all? or recently)

Seems there are some close to shore late in day on a south side beach after swimmers go home but up and down pretty quick. Nice and aggravating even for boat bound people, shore bound would be maddening.

Took my son today, albie virgin. He's caught a bunch of bonito but hasn't caught one of these speed demons. He's hooked! Had three doubles, ended up with a dozen and a shearwater released unharmed.

Car bound

Things seem to have really quieted down on my pre and post work excursions. Cannot find any bait, birds, or fish showing anywhere close to shore. The exception was further east around Kennedyland a few days ago where I couldn't reach them with the wind in my face. I blame days of NE winds for moving the bait and fish off shore.

It was a gorgeous morning and I found a #^&#^&#^&#^&load of peanuts with fish on them for hours. Too bad they were mostly 20 inch bass lol. I actually took a respite from Albert and I hit CCB - needed a break from the futility of chasing the ghost fish. Back to the south side tomorrow. Maybe the change in wind will help change my luck.

ccb

East facing shore One spot weeds every drift, other area clean with those peanuts and bass. Expected worse weeds. Fishable. Only a couple around 30 inch. Picky. They would only take small jigs. Should have taken my albie lures haha. Blitz conditions off like a switch Sun up.
