Kind of a milestone for me...I always wanted a 15 pounder on my own wood! Nice when you set a goal and you reach it....time to work on the 40, 50 and 60 pound bass!

So what is your biggest bluefish?

Nice fish larry !
But you haven't fought a big blue fish till you've fought it's bigger cousin, TUNA !!!

from a southern perspective

just shy of 17#'s for me... I was 16 and I caught two that were almost identical...

like many others have stated, several days of tons of teen size fish..

our group stopped counting at 77 landed one day in dec on the OBX.... all over 12#'s on metal.... haven't seen em here in big numbers like that since about 92

I might be small.... but I'm slow.

I forget the excat year but it was in the early 90's and it was definitely the Friday , Sat , Sunday after Thanksgiving , myself , my friend Chris from New Jersey and about 50 other people along east beach caught huge blues. We weighed a few we had cleaned and brought home and after gutting they were still 22 to 23 pounds.

Never saw them that big before or since but we caught them fairly regularly that whole weekend.

That's how it was for me back in '86 even later though.Dec.1st the day before I went in the USAF.One of my fondest memories. The 'ol Shimano Speedmaster spinner's drag screaming and the 9ft Ugly Stik bent right at the grip.

i caught one that was 8 pounds at Race Point down the Cape

It came in first place in the MSBA tournament in the junior land division

I managed to get it away from the seal that was chasing it, but I was able to get it away from him
