Pearl-Ex

After talking to CS a couple of weeks ago I decided to pick up some Pearl-Ex to try. This is a very fine powder that can be added to paint, epoxy etc. to add a pearlescence effect. Capesams warned me that a" little goes a long way". Well he isn't kidding. I added a small clump (at least I thought it was small) to the epoxy and mixed again. It brushed on without knowing it was in the epoxy (feeling wise) but the effects are unreal. It comes in a bunch of different colors too.

Post expensive automotive paint

its like 360 bucks for a pint or a half pint - somethin like that
but - the truck its painted with - that lives next door changes color as you walk by....purple to silver to green to blue and back again ....which i thought would be perfect for this application. i guess it has the finest
(smallest) grade of metalflake particle in it there is... funny is that the owner has countless stories of these old ladies trying to tell him at signal lights that his truck is turning color as if thats a serious problem....
