I am guessing you trailer..cause your pic ain't got no bottom paint.

Get a wash down pump on the boat and clean with raw water.
Bring a spray bottle of boat soap and spray and brush on the way in. When you get home just rinse with fresh water, and lightly rinse the reels.

At my slip it takes me about 1/2 hour, with flushing the engine; and I'm on the way home.

Hope this helps.

Want to save some time packing up to go home?
Do like I did, and buy a Parker pilot house
A quick wash after flushing my motor, then lock the door!!!
It helps to be in a good marina with good security!!!

To get ready to go, with a trailered boat I can be on my way in 1/2 hour.
I leave stuff in dedicated bags and bins; electronics, charts, tackle, etc., and use a lawn cart to load it up in my basement and roll it out to the boat all at once.
I also use a checklist of needed items and review it for things I might have missed.

Also, over time, buy duplicates for things that you use on your boat and for other things so that you don't waste time searching. That would include things like flashlights, first aid equipment, binoculars, etc. The money spent is often well worth the time saved.

On return, think of items that really don't need to be perfectly clean after each outing. Like, is it really necessary to wash each life jacket with soap and water and rinse and dry nylon anchor rode? Don't laugh, someone very close to me used to do that.

I do my best to take no short cuts, it takes me forever both to get ready and clean up, atleast 2hrs before n after more if I gotta clean or bag my catch. I trailer my boat, store everything in the house, raw water washdown during and heading in. Surf or boat you can never over prepare. Cut time by having a list, prefuel-up and move faster.

Is the cleanup taking you so long because you are cleaning everything before you fish? Clean everything when you are done fishing. The salt will have less of a chance to corrode and cleaning will be easier. If verything is clean and you use a checklist it shouldn't take you more than an hour to load the boat to go fishing.

All you guys just reminded me why I dont have a boat anymore!!
And the one I did have was a freshwater bass boat!!(and that one got washed about 3 times a year if that!) Probably the reason the gelcoat was still like new! The dirt protected it!!!!

I did come close to buying a center console a year and a half ago!! Glad I didnt after reading this!!

I am just too damn lazy to spend hours and hours getting ready!!And then hours cleaning afterwards!!

But hey at least I am man enough to admit it!!
