Lightbulb just a suggestion on where for the mass leg

I know i am new to this group but,I was thinking about a nice area for the tourney whenever the date is finally nailed down. Is anyone familiar with Gooseberry Island in Westport, Mass. There are a few different striper habitats/haunts that will satisfy just about everyone. I only have to check and see if they close a gate at a certian time of night. I believe they only close it when waves are breaking over the causeway. I will have an answer to this question before sunrise.

I haven't fished it yet myself but another angler I know, Steve M., LOVES Westport... It was on the list to try this year but that list has gone untouched so far...

People - that's one great spot from the people I know that have fished it...

Thanks 'Crabber. The Mass Dates are Fri/Sat - Sept 14/15 with Sautrday night being the official night and Friday night a scoutning night that counts towards the 4 leg tourney....

John, let me know what you're doing for the 14th as I'll likely try and get out. I'm gonna hit cohassett a night this week and I'll give you a report and let you know if its worth a shot over the weekend. Gotta check the tides.

You doin' ok? Hadn't heard much from you over past week. Everything ok with the med tests and at home? Shoot me an email or drop me a line.

Greg - I'll call you this week... 'Crabber, we're probably going to meet up in Wareham at M&D's and punch out from there. Some may head to the Outer Cape, some the ditch, some down your way adn a few may be going to Scituate/Plymouth... I don't want to see a bunch of people descending on a 100 square foot parcel of rocky beach

Redcrbbr - are you talking about Horseneck Beach and that area? If so, I'd be interested in doing that with you for the tourney. What did you find out about the gates?
