Thumbs up Hey Slipknot!!!!!!

I took your advice and started fishing the canal again, been a long time since I haunted that place. I used to live there with Stifftip back in the 80's and early 90's. Did I do good?

NICE!
ya done good son

Just like riding a bike huh. Jigging with braid is like cheating as bassmaster says

how much poundage did they go?

I am off in a few minutes heading to West Yarmouth.

Toby, that reel was a virgin until this morning. I just bought it last Tuesday. It's a Quantum Cabo CLW20. It's the new updated version of the old Big Iron series. Ceramic drag! It's the stones. Fifty pound braid (Stealth) to a 40lb. Fluoro leader. Mounted on a tried and true twenty year old JK Fisher blank. 3 oz jig.

Slip that bottom fish was a pig and brought me down a pole. It went over twenty easily.

Best kinda shack, one with wheels. Any bets it will be parked closer to the canal next summer, now that Slip's had a taste of mung and seals?

NICE FISH's Flap!

Bruce - - Good seeing you this morning - - - - Sorry if I was still out of it. . ... long night - - - GO RED-SOX - - -

What's wrong with this picture? Fish feeding on top . ... feeding on what?....you could have fooled me. With the amount of bait we should be seeing - - and the Bass should be eating....This shouldn't happen as much as I'm seeing it -

COMPLETELY EMPTY!!!

One more thing!!!

We seen AT LEAST 4 belly-side-up stripers float by us this morning. There was some doofus way off to the right of us tossing in the twinkies like he was shoveling dirt....

That just makes me sick, you get all these heroes' claiming they release their fish...."I practice Catch & Release - - I practice Catch & Release".......well let me tell ya something - - LEARN TO DO IT PROPERLY!!! It's hard enough for a jigged up bass or a plug caught bass that's been fighting you AND the current to recouperate, it DOESN'T need to be spun in the air and belly-flopped back.

Take the time to do it right.....there are times when I've spent more time putting the fish back in than I spent taking him out. And if you think 1 fish doesn't matter....

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Attaboy, Bloo - tell it like it is - give it heeem!!!

And then these brain-surgeons are gonna be complaining in a few years that there's no bass around....

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Question

I dunno Bloocrab, all the bass I have caught over the last two mornings are barfing up 3 inch long squid and tinker macks. Saw lots of bait coming out of the water today. Had a quick shot at some Albies too but they were up and gone before I could get a cast off.

Why even try.........
