Caught 50 bass between Thursday and Sunday morning. 80% between 24 - 27". The other 20% were small keepers to 37". released everything unharmed.

Haven't fished Rhody for a week. Honeymoon and then had to move out of a house and into another.

I weighed in a few fish in the 20lb range and one that was 32 this weekend at Edwards in Middletown. I also had reports of decent fish being taken from Little Compton , Aquidnick Island ,and south shore Narr. Basically the whole south side of RI had fish since fri...so i guess it's time!.........

I caught 2 seagulls on one cast this afternoon while chasing albies.
the first seagull flew into my line in mid cast, and the redgill teaser zipped up and hooked into its wing and came crashing down into the water. Then a 2nd seagull saw my little zozuri minnow bobbing next to the thrashing seagull and came swooping down to steal the gulls lunch..... Crash!!! 2nd seagull hooked. A 3rd and 4th seagull tried to grab the yozuri but luckily they didnt get hooked.

I hauled both birds in, unhooked gull#2 first, adn then dealt with gull#1 which bit the crap out of my finger... both gulls were airborn in about 4 minutes and I got my plug and redgill back....

from now on I will be calling these teasers redgull teasers

Who said yozuris and redgill didnt catch?!

i managed a few blues east of napatree pt, i guess way down at the far rockpile they hit the bass and blues purdy good on topwaters. i was fishing with a friend and my dad. both of them were cheating. we were goofing around, running to fish breaking. they had jeans and sneakers, i had neoprenes and korkers. if any one finds a orvis korker, right foot, size 10-11 around napatree, could you lemme know? i lost it while releasing a blue. there were also mullet in the surf, and bass finning here and there. overall, good day, for a goofing around trip. won't be in the surf next wknd, the tuna are calling

fishing is not a love, but an obsession

I went last night in the rain to the ditch, well the off and on rain.

All I caught was this greenish / brown thing about a foot and a half long and ... oh, that was the eel I was using!

Fish were sleeping.

Insanity is a long and winding road ... I think I finally made it there.

There is a fine line that seperates a fisherman from a fool standing in water swinging a stick.

They SHORE were! ah haha I couldn't resist Actually the ones that I weighed in were from a boat ,the others that I heard about (and the ones I caught ) were from shore. I am just glad that fish are back in the area , or at least feedin again.

Caught good last night in a shallow water spot. Lots of school fish and some teen size ones. All on needles.
It felt good to have cold hands---bassing weather.

Caught Fri Morning for a 3 hours before dawn... once it got lightn nada..... for the 6 guys standing on the beach that had just showed up... no cows, but some in the mid 30" range.....

caught fish right after midnight Sat for 2 hours... mostly schoolies, some small keepers.. approx 4:1 school/keep ratio left to look for large....... nothing from 2-445a, so I went to bed.... took Sat night and Sunday off from fishing and restocked the Jar.....

Saturday and sunday RI loaded up with blues again. Good news though, throwin a pencil to them and got into some bass, nothing huge but on sunday the sun was shining, first daylight bass since july. I gave the GF my hand painted swimmer and she caught a nice 34 incher and a bunch of blues 8-10 pounds.

Everything is better on the rocks.
