Snelling straight eye hooks

Question I've been meaning to ask for a while. A bit ago I picked up some extra strong gami hooks to use on eel rigs, but they have a straight eye rather than the turned eye I'm used to.

Is there a different snell or better knot I should use on these rather than a usual snell knot? thanks - spence

You can use a regular snell but don't run the leader through the eye.
