1000 Posts and a Big Thanx

I figured I would use my 1000th post to send a big thanx out to you guys. I have learned a ton and just wanted to say I appreciate it

I want to Thank NightFighter for turning me onto this site. I saw this guy jump out of a truck on a road in marblehead, one day wearing waders and start scoping the water w/ binoculars. I struck up a quick conversation w/ him about striper fishing and he was more than happy to talk. He warned me then how "Addictive" this could be and showed me the back of his truck, Which was wall to wall with bags stuffed w/ Plugs. I was like "Nah I couldn't get that bad" .........Oh yes I could.

I want to Thank Spinncognito for Helping to start me on the road to this addiction. He is responsible for putting me on my 1st Keeper and starting the "Itch" that I've been scratching ever since. I've fished w/ him and his Dad on countless mornings this past year and enjoyed the Hell out of it.

A Big Thanx also goes out to John R for putting together a great site and bringing together a great group of guys w/ a ton of knowledge to share. At times I feel this guy should be sainted for what he puts up w/ here to keep this site going . You should take great pride in what you've accomplished here. Its a pretty special place

I also want to thank:

Bud8Fan for showing me the proper way to "Jig the Ditch" Considering I'd never done it before he had the patience of a saint

Maddog2020 for donating a bunch of equipment to the Plum Island kids program. They used them off the beach this summer and one kid even landed a 20 lb'er.

FishingFreak for giving me what must be 200 lbs of fishing magazines so I can feed my need for information. I'm still reading them

BigFish for some Great plugs and for learning the True Spirit of xmas, er, um, I mean October.......When it comes to the Red Sox you just got to believe

MikeCC and his wife, Barbara for some Great Hospitality at the Fall Leg of the S-B tourney. Real Great people who made me feel like I've been coming into there place every week for the past 20 years.

and Everyone else on this site for every little tidbit of Information they were willing to share or every helping hand they were willing to extend. I have learned a TON from this site and I appreciate all of it and again Thank You and I hope the Next 1000 posts are as much fun as the last 1000 have been

P.S. I have made sure that my wife has no idea where to find any of you so you're safe.....For now

For my 97th post I would like to say it has been a pleasure meeting and fishing with you as well DF. And thank you for hooking me up with this site as well. True it is likely the most informative striper site on the www and I can only hope I absorb enough wisdom from these pages to assist me in my quest for that 50! (Okay, I will be happy when the first 30 and 40 are flopping at my feet)

May is only 5+ months away and I think it likely that you may be found in and around a certain spot or two in Gloucester...

TDF - you are welcome.

One thing that I constantly impressed by is that the freindships and comaraderie and kowledge shared - it's cool

Now, I'm planning on schoolies in late March and keepers in April

And some winter over bass before then

I'd be up for that....Frosty Beverages and Pluggage....sounds like a plan.

I'm pretty sure there are a few North Shore guys on this board...and a Few that go "Both Ways"

the learning curve has been steepened for me significantly through this site. I look forward to learning something every time I log in. TDF, you're a textbook example of addiction combined with dedication to the chase of the stripes! May we fish together many more times in the years ahead.

This site has been very important to me since I stumbled across it in early 2001. And though I post infrequently, I am around. The Cutty crew ranks among one of my most memorable group of good friends and good times. I look forward to a reunion in 2005, I hope we can do it! My best to the dozen of you and the rest of the board for the holiday season and the coming year. And thanks to all for the help I've received here.

Ross

Thanks you, TDF - for finding a home for the gear.

If I come across some more I'll pm ya (more like if I can make myself part with it ..... lol).

Great to hear the kids are catching some respectable fish.

Keep up the great job!

Congrats TDF, I'll be the next one posting in the 1000 posts club. Too bad it took me four years!
I'm in Metro West, and launch out of Gloucester, so if you want to get together...pm me.
Later,
Rick
