St.Croix Reels.

I just noticed St.Croix has come out with a line of saltwater reels under the "Avid" line.Curious as to whether these can hang in the surf.Anybody own one?
They're rather inexpensive so I'm assuming these are Asian built reels.

The conventional looks like the Daiwa Millionaire and the Spinning looks like a Shimano Spheros.

If you look close at the spinner(Premier)you'll see that the antireverse lever is on the rear.On a Spheros its on the bottom just behind the rotor cup. They do look very similar though.

The Avid is the higher end of the two.It looks alot like something Tica or Okuma would make.
