Official June 18th 4 Leg Tourney Signup - Rhody Spring Leg Shore Tourney

OK, as many of you know, we are about to start our S-B 4 Leg Catch and Release Tourneys June 18th at King Cove Outfitters in Stonington, CT (just down the street from Westerly). The short version is that we cook up and ruin perfectly good food, met & greet others from the site, BS, and then go fishing. To participate in the Tourney portion you must be a member in good standing (member for a couple weeks plus minimum 10 posts) and you MUST fish with another S-B member to measure and sign off on C&R'd fish. Fish over 36 inches from lip to end of tail, bass obviously

, measured and released. A the end of the year, the top three members will win prizes (only largest fish per member counts). You can bring your significant other to fish if you so desire (and have that fish count - for them

)

So for the B-B-Q, we'll meet over at Don's shop for the grub, members bring food, drink (non-alcoholic), or utensils. That way there is no "charge" for putting this together for the membership. We'll work out a time but a good bet would be a 2:30 start. This start time is open to debate on the boards. You do not need to go to each "Leg" but obviously, the more legs you go to, the better your odds are of winning.

How "teams" work: We recommend those with like styles of fishing to group together with some members familiar with an area in RI taking some less familiar under their wings. With like styles we won't have issues with Korker dressed mountain goats teamed up with shorts wearing chunking.

Also, looking for Sponsors / Members that would be interested in donating prizes for the top spots in the 4 leg tourney and the other Year long tourney

So whooze coming and whatya gonna bring?

I plan to bring a couple dozen hamburgers and Nathan's Hot Dogs

Just to let you all know the grills are already to be fired up and we all look forward to seeing the S-B contingent this Saturday.

Anyone wishing to campout on the property is welcome to pitch a tent if they wish. If necessary we wil keep the shop opened all night.
