Cod Trip, Try 2

Swede brought up a good point, holidays are over, we're going to need another cod trip, maybe get 5 miles out before turning around ...

Who's interested in try #2? I promise I won't make any weather predictions

I'd be game for another shot, this time I'll bring my foul weather pants just in case. Last time I didn't and I'm glad we turned around, because I'd have been soaked to the skin in short order.

Cod Trip 2

John pls. count me in !
The small trout I'm getting at Long pond (plymouth) just don't cut it like a cod or striper.

If we can get out there We should be into large cod !

Anyone know what boats are still going out ?

There must have been a payoff for no pics from the last "trip"
well BM can we see them?

Bring on the waves

When is a good time/date range to set up a CAWD trip??

After the Pat's go to this year's SuperBowl? Early Feb or Late February? Any preferences to you CAWD fishers?

Are there any opening or is the crew from the first trip all booked already. If there are openings let me know, I'm interested now that hunting season is almost over

Fisherwoman needs a fix???? THATS a shock!!!!!!!

I would love to give it another shot but as my "snowmobiling weekends" are already filling my calendar it would depend on the date of the trip.

got snow???!!!!!

Talking Cod trip

Hi Guys!
I'm definately in, if we go on Sunday. The new place is getting very busy; Sundays and Tuesdays are my only respites from the hell that I've created.
Keep me posted.
Thanks,
Rick

As long as its on the weekend you can count me in as well.
I have never done any cod fishing before so it should be an experince! I know to dress warm and stuff but i may bring my own gear I have a penn 320GTI and a boat rod just cruious what pound test I need. A friend told me the gear you rent is junk so i don't want to have something where it decides to fail as I am bringing up a 30lb cod If they boat has decent gear i'll leave mine at home. I also have a 10 or 12oz diamond jig I bought for a Cod trip years ago will that work? I didn't get to make it on that one since i was deathly sick .

Just give an update with the price and location

I can probably make it and will have a supply of cod jigs with me. Unless its dead calm you'll need a minimum of 20 ozs. on the jigs. The later in Feb. the better as even into March the fishing tends to get better. Right now it appears to be slow as the weather is putting a pounding on the trips.
