Yo Vinnie nice plug Heat that baby up before epoxy to really get it to soak in.use a pipe cleaner to service the holes for good interior sealing.

Looks like ur lathe is too high.U outa be able to get ur right hand on the handle Palms down.One its more comfy an B,when the tool binds(it happens to me I go to fast) u got a good grip on it.

I take like 5 0r 6 an tro em in a coffe can in the oven 10 mins.at 200-250.Stuff soaks right in.keep applyin till it soaks no more.whipe off excess wit paper towel hang em to dry.sand an prime.Oil base primer.

Lathe center should be about elbow high for best results. If that lathe grabs your chisel it will take off like a rocket .......
