Thumbs up Good news for lefties

Talked to the Abu regional rep today and he told me that a Abu 7000 Lefty is in the planning for next year.

he also said that since Abu's new factory in Taiwan it capable of producing reels for 30% cheeper it is possiple that we may see an Abu 6800 (more like the Penn 975 size) in the near future.
We also told him to pressure Abu on upgrading the drag and to consider Smoothies as stock drags

Did you tell him about the reluctance of people to purchase the reels if they are made in Taiwan?

Personally, I'm still on the fence about that and I'm not sure that there will be a drop in quality but I think some of this globalization may be going a bit far...
