Anyone Codfishing?
Party, Charter or otherwise?
Looking for a Jan or Feb trip out for a few.
Anyone have suggestions of who and where to go with?

I'm thinking of going Saturday weather permitting east of Chatham. You can take 10 cod per day out there.

Try the Helen-H out of Hyannis. They fish George's Bank as weather allows. No 2 fish bag limit.

Boats fishing Georges (i.e., Nantucket shoals) have been crushing the cod recently. Nothing too hugh, but plenty in numbers.

I fished my 1st cod trip on the HH Monday, 12/11. I honestly can not tell you where we went. I guesstimate ESE direction, 2 hours 40 minutes at 20 knots, maybe 100-120' deep. I did not "crush" them, 25 lbs. of fillet. I think I had the a below average catch of the anglers fishing the bow. The angler on my right and the angler on my left each exceeded a 120 cooler, they crushed 'em with 35-40 fish apiece. A really great day overall.

25 LB's of cod fillet - sound's like it was well worth it.....
I prefer cod fishing than going inshore boating for bass...I don't like boat fishing for stripers - particularly don't like bouncing around in a speedy center con without a head.....

Sounds Great!!!
I will be going in Jan. I would like to go on an extended trip. Joe knows where the fish are. I've been on the boat and I honestly cannot tell where we go either. His log book must be rather thick.
