AND they are your reading glasses, used for seeing little details up close. very hard to fix them when using the braile method.

I have cheap reading glasses stashed everywhere... Makes repairing my good ones a hell of alot easier..

Now if I could get the dexterity back in my hands I'd be golden!

Good thing I don't read. I have basicly gone to wearing an opti visor at work for most of the day instead of taking the glasses off and on all day long. Just flip them out of the way and down when you need them but still a PIA. Sight went like that too. Here one day, gone the next. Nothing good about getting older.

my mother once sent me this newspaper article she cut out from the paper.....a habit she had...anyways it was about this man who had arthritic hands kinda bad.

his task was to clean a carbuerator one day from a car
and he decided to soak it in a gallon of wd40 he bought to use as a solvent... he filled up a small tub
took the carb apart and dropped it in. he poured in whole gallon. Later that afternoon...he sat there cleaning all the parts with a brush getting his hands thoroughly soaked in the wd40 like you would washing dishes. his manual dexterity completely returned.

i read that and went off in my mind OH really!


at that moment in time
my shoulder was wrecked from two weeks of sanding/mudding ceilings and just killin me... ..
(i couldnt raise my coffee cup) so i grabbed the nearest can of wd40 and sprayed some in my hand....little puddle...
and rubbed it on my shoulder.... i felt it work in minutes and within a half hour i was 60% better with
range of motion and dexterity... it felt warm...

i would try it... otherwize you need more fish oil
and glucosamine to lubricate those joints.
or you can try emu oil as a last result....
except that stuff is hotter than LAVA

WD-40 for Arthritis?

A popular myth has grown around the use of WD-40 as a joint lubricant and pain reliever for arthritis. The liquid is sprayed on the painful joint much as one would fix a squeaky mechanical hinge. To be used by the body, the substance must be absorbed through the skin. The thinner the skin, the more is absorbed.

To date, no credible scientific studies have shown any benefit from the use of WD-40 for arthritis. In fact, there may be cumulative harmful effects. The manufacturer's warning indicates that contact with skin and vapors should be avoided. WD-40 contains petroleum distillates, as do gasoline and oil. Problems ranging from mild skin rash to severe allergic reactions have been reported. Prolonged exposure can cause cancer and other serious health problems.

WD-40 has a documented dangerous synergism with insecticides, notably pyrethrin, the active ingredient in head lice medication and some dandruff shampoos. Pyrethrin is made from dried, concentrated powder of flowers from the chrysanthemum family. Both the natural pyrethrin and synthetic pyrethroid insecticides mimic the hormone estrogen, which causes cell proliferation. Misuse of these insecticides can result in proliferation of breast cancer cells as well as endocrine disruption, kidney problems, and nerve damage.

Proponents of WD-40 may be experiencing a placebo effect or may realize some benefit from increased blood circulation in the affected area as the substance is massaged into the skin. Breathing the vapor may have a temporary pain-killing effect, but delicate linings in the nose, throat, mouth, and lungs may be damaged.
