Anyone fish the salt in Maine?
I'll be heading up to Maine in July visiting some friends, they're in Yarmouth, near Casco Bay . We'll be camping and staying right near the ocean. So the quick question is, are there fish around -bass and or blues? I have no clue and not sure if I should pack a rod.
Thanks!!!

There are no bass in Maine, they are all in RI and Mass. Only mackerel in Maine.

Any estuaries at all (Mousam River), Popham State Beach, Sheepscott River, Damariscotta River, KENNEBEC RIVER,...
but don't bring rods, don't fish these places, nothing but mackerel. Their stripes just go the wrong way.

THe Royal R. in Yarmouth, Mackworth Island and the Presumpscot R are very close by. Even better w/a kayak.Shoot me a note closer to your ETA and I'll get more specific.
