MPG for a 23 SeaCraft w/225 4stoke Yamaha

I finally made an effort to get a real number for this...2.53 miles/Gallon . Not tooo bad. (based on fuel consumed over 284 miles of travel, about two weeks of boat use) Mainly cruising speed (26-30) and a few hours of trolling.

Seems like a great ratio to me. Remember when I had the 26' Silverton, single inboard 318, we used to figure 1mile/gal., and that was at only 15 knots.

Is the older 23 hull the same as the newer ones or has it been changed a bit. Or is the old one just over built and more of a tank in bad chop?

Same hull basically, a few differences in the interior. I've heard that people say the old ones ride better than the new because the old ones have heavier hulls but that doesn't add up: http://classicseacraft.com/SF23.htm
