Left very early this morning in the rain, was considering off cape at Wallum Lake opening but did not like the looks of the weather, knowing that Stiffy is up at 5am I called him and picked him minutes later. When we got to our first stop in Nickerson, the world ended.
Lightning flashes, rain so hard you couldn't see 20 feet and hailstones as big as marbles raining down on us with 60 mile an hour winds. What a way to start the day. The thunder storms chased us out of several spots although I did best at a Pond on the Seashore with a slow rolled Colorado.
The bass came on the bug as well as the brook trout and big Rainbow.
What a crazy day.

Roy's always right!
He's the "do- er" of internet fishing... among many talkers! Love ya, Roy! GREAT guy too! How he finds time for everything I'll never know... I'm just a distant admirer!
As for Smallmouth... they are the only freshwater fish whose fighting capabilities excite me! (Not that I've caught them all by any means... I'm a saltwater surf Cowhunter! But I did have a 4.25 Smallie though as a 15 yr. old... & it was & is some memory! )
