well it aint on small 12 to 16 pound twinkies or bigguns.
A , the god is ment to cast that weight, If it cant handle the load, then thaey should not specify it on the dam blank.
I can understand me breakin rods on 50 pound test in my rock mecca on 20 to 40 pound bass due to ripping them literally over the rocks at the place i fish in spring. due to some chips or nicks.
those rods are sm1363m or 2f cut down to around 9'10".
The tip is cut down to a size 14 and i cut the rest off the butt section.
I use penn squidders due to the spool capacity and spoolchange.
I trash usually 2 or 3 a spring. tork frames, strip gears. one year I blew out one side on a school of big bass to 46 pounds. the bearing blew out the side and i trashed the spool, to funny.
Fished the broken rod and pounded bass on top to the beach.
no big deal........................

Definately some nice fish, hope they come around next year in better numbers. Specilist, next time have the sun at the cameramans back, I learned that the hard way myself. FW, so that's what a big pollack looks like , nice fish for sure. John your's is a fatty, did you serve her some of those nathans dogs before the pic. Trying to make light here, but alas it's not working, but after a few more beers maybe I can sleep.

No need to pass Clamdigger, we are all here helping each other through this, we have our own little support community. I'm l#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g in that I have a home office, so I've spent a lot of time today with my family, but there's no reason we can't take a break. Believe me, I'm devastated by the horror of today, but we must band together. That's family, friends, neighbors, communities, states, government and yes even the fishing boards. That's what it's going to take and then some, to even get close to normal again, although I doubt I'll see that in a long time.

Here is my fish!

This is one of the thumpers I have landed this season off of B.I. It was a 28lb beauty that was caught & released. Thanks to my friend Bill who pulled his boat along side to get the shot.... Hopefully after this weekend I'll have a 40lb to post....LOL
