This was a great week to catch my second horrible stomach virus of the year. Started Tuesday night and finally was back to normal yesterday. Did I miss anything down there?I am glad S-B had some sharpies on the scene. I was dying to get down there.

Yeah the place was littered with S-B "Sharpies.......there were "dullies", "newbies", even S-B "Googans"! Heck, even "King Canal Googan" was down there......I shaved my beard off so folks would not recognize me!

There was a lot of damage done by many. Should be interesting when everything pans out. My highlight for the week was a foul hooked bass that went around 20 pounds. Took me forever to get it in and I was thinking it was a real good fish. Had it hooked in the dorsal. To prove to my buddies it wasn't %$%$%$%$ luck, on the very next cast I hooked another fish in the dorsal. It turned out to be a 3" choggie.

Was there early Friday morning and had all kinds of fun! Saw a bunch of S-Bers, talked to a few but it is amazing to see that many people out fishing and not working....I bet a lot of sick days were used last week. I actually planned on taking this day off a few weeks ago and things worked out well.

Mike I was very impressed with your deft skills and ability to snag that choggie. You my friend epitomize the word "sharpie". S-B did some work last week for sure.

Its extra special to expereince things like that when in good company.
Here's another interesting catch. You'd think with half a tail this fish would have come straight in. It fought like hell though.

It was a nasty strike. My hearing hasn't recovered from it yet.

Cool thing about last week is even with the good fishing there are a lot of non catching things that will be remembered in addition to the action.
