I have a VERY near mint 700, and it may make the rotation next season

If it is the dark green reel with the silver bell, I wouldn't use it. The rotor tends to chip very easily on those reels and sand getting between the silver bell and the rotor causes a mess. If you can get a one piece rotor (particularly the 706 rotor), then that is a different story. I suspect the reel has more value as a collectible.
