Stellwagen W/Dylan

Headed to the bank today with my son Dylan and had to really look for the fish. I didn't put the numbers into the boat like last week but having Dylan with me made up for it. The highlight of the day was watching Dylan pull up a double keeper cod. We ended the day with 9 cod to 30" and 1 haddock (15 lbs of fillets) along with about 60 shorts and 1 Sculpin.

Its amazing, I tapped his shoulder at 4:30 a.m. and told him it was time to go fishing and he jumped right up and got his clothes on that he set aside the night before. I wish getting him off to school was that easy.

I can relate, going fishing was like Christmas morning to me when I was a kid!

Clcharette, great post, thanks for sharing as it brought a tear to my eye at how quick the kid woke up. He can imagine, the night before even, just him and his dad, the ride to the boat/dock, the ride out to the fishing grounds, then the fishing, just him and his cooler than cool-dad, so awesome!

I remember my Dad waking me up for things and I was up like a bolt because it was fun.

My 6 year old nephew was/is the same way, dark-o-thirty, stands upright in the bed when awoken to show he is up and ready, no talk, just all business, no stopping them. Good stuff!
