TFCTFN Food Thread
Hi Guys and Girls,
With T-Minus 4 weeks to go March 5th, I thought I would start the food thread. I'll be bringing 1 large hotel pan of sausage, peppers and onions. For those of you who have never been, Messy Matty, Rappin Mikey and I will warm up and present or use whatever supplies you would like to donate. I also bring about 15 chafing dishes, sterno, etc to keep everything nice and warm, once cooked. I've got plates and utensils for us all, as well.
The hall has a pretty limited warming capacity (one stove, four burners and a flattop). If you can bring something that is already cooked and needs to be warmed up, that would be great. Please also remember to bring a utensil (spoon or ladle) to serve, and we'll make sure to wash it for you, once done.
We'll be looking for the following types of stuff:
Appetizer/Finger Foods
Salad/Potato or Pasta Salad, etc.
Hot Dishes
Desserts
Napkins
Sodas/Waters
Cups
I think that the turnout will be pretty good this year, and I'm guessing that the food will be pretty good, as well. We like to think that what gets donated probably worth the price of admission, alone.
So, if you'd like to contribute, please sign up here.
John, can you make this thread sticky?
Thanks,
Rick Bomba, Rappin Mikey, and Messy Matty

Not much seafood on the menu, so I will try to bring a ceviche and a bag or two of tortilla chips.
Any preference to those coming on spiciness? I normally make mine pretty raging.
** If I can't get the seafood I need (exorbitant price, availability) I'll make a big thing of guac.

Ricky, I'll also bring a case of Poland Springs water. I don't drink alcohol and I am sure there will be a few other guys also not drinking because of the drive home.

Try this. I dropped 22 pounds in 7 weeks having Special K with Skim milk for breakfast, Progresso Light soup for lunch (160 calories in a whole can) and a portion controlled dinner. No bread. Fresh Fruit cup for dessert (melon, pineapple and sometime berries) and rice cakes or popcorn for a snack.
Not fun but it works. I weigh myself every Tuesday morning before I have anything. Goal is 50 pounds by Memorial Day. Trying to get to 180.
