Water country is pretty cool, they have 2 fairly new rides and a clean facility(no dead body's in da pool) anyway I'm heading up with the wife and kids a week from Monday.
Jim don't for get you can call your local library and reserve passes,if they have them just pick them up the day before you'll knock off ten bucks a head

Live bait sharp hooks and timing is all you need

Not sure about the other two but Water Country was perfect for a large group (15) I went with last summer. Mostly clean, (only exception was an area of one pool where the seagulls hung out on a makeshift mountain and "stained" the area- not pretty)
Other than that it would be ideal for your aged kids, very safe and plenty of attentive staff. If you do choose WC, pack your own lunch as there lots of shaded picnic areas and bringing food is allowed. They sell standard park food which is good but expensive. Also, get there early as it gets packed on hot days- avoid weekends if you can!
