My new project
Always wanted an AR but never wanted to part with the money for one. This spring I picked up a Rock River Arms receiver and a DPMS lower parts kit at a gun show for about $ 98.00. This weekend I picked up my Mass compliant pinned collapsable stock made by Tapco $78.00 out the door. It is adjustable for length of pull. Last night I put my lower together, now I can't wait to get an upper. A fully made lower minus a 20 dollar mag for under $200 bucks Pics to follow

The hardest part was getting the roll pin in for the bolt release, and the small detent pins and springs, you don't want to lose those...

Eventually it will look like this. (Bushmaster)
Old man still has my Eotech.
Finally ordered new front rails with Surefire pistol grip with integrated lite last week. Can't wait.
Big piece of advice, buy one of the new piston driven uppers. Mine is gas operated and if I blow through mags do quick fire, it is COOKIN' hot.
You can usually pick up 30rd mags at gun shows for around $15 to $20 a piece.
Also once have together, make sure you figure out which ammo runs best through it. I know mine does not like the cheap steel stuff especially Wolf. They have a glue substance on the outside of casing that when heats up and combined with steel casing that expands, but doesn't contract like brass, casings get jammed in barrel all the time. Even though Bushmaster swears that Wolf should feed problemless.....
Enjoy. Next thing you know you gonna have a supa tricked out useless gun like I on my way to.....but damn its cool.
You should have gone with one of the new .22LR AR versions.......

Was thinking .50 BMG ....
Money will be the determining factor on uppers, but I am pretty sure I want a bull barreled varmint
upper In 5.56
