I'm fascinated by the marine life that uses the canal.
Do the giant tuna use it as a migration route? Do they school up and wait for tide to switch? In the old days the seiners used to sit down there and make sets of 200 fish. How many sharks are in the canal? We know there are Great Whites in the Elizabeths. Do they use the canal? Never mind all of the whales.

Giant tuna definitely go through. They are so powerfull they can jump out of the water and clear their whole bodies airborn. Sharks we see all the time but I have no idea how many in the canal at any given time. I don't know the species either

I've seen sharks and lots of tuna.....even giants. I hear now that they closed the canal that they want to drain it to clean all the lead out. That could take a few months.

If it swims in Cape Cod or Buzzards Bay, it swims in the Canal.

Excellent! Believe it or not, I once lost a bucktail jig there and I'm pretty sure I can retrieve it if they drop the water level down about 40 feet.
