Bleep you it's rediculous

Toddler's cuss word on 'Modern Family' draws ire - Yahoo! omg!

It's time to stop word discrimination.
How many people have never cussed themselves?
How many people were injured hearing profanity?
Why not take the power away from the words?
Don't we have bigger problems and enough to worry about without adding words to the list?
Isn't it basically just an issue of I am better than you because I don't use those words, basically just another way to separate people and cause friction amongst people.
Don't we have enough reasons to dislike eachother without making words 99.9% of people have used or heard?
Watch Gordon Ramsay who uses profanity all the time and watch the reaction of the people hearing it, I don't see anyone in pain. Watch the end of the shows where he is still throwing f-bombs and saying she it, pretty much everyone is smiling and happy with the profanity having no adverse effect.
How many people who won't use profanity read some of my post and think to themselves what an _____ or this guy is _____, you fill in the blank.
I don't see why certain letters grouped together should carry anymore weight than others.
When you read the title did a word come to mind ?
Did it cause you pain to think of that word?
What is the actual harm caused?
It's _____ing ridiculous in my ______ed up mind.
I hope you recover soon from my post, if not have your ______ing attorney call mine.
It's all BS (if you need that translated pm me)

I was born and Raised in Lynn MA, spent 7 years in the Navy...I'm like the Dad on "A Christmas Story".

"He worked in profanity the way other artists might work in oils or clay. It was his true medium; a master."

But That being said...I do try and watch it in front of my kids....and definitely not in front of other kids.

I said I swear a lot....never said I was proud of it.

If the words were treated like any other word they would have the same power as any other word.
Don't you have enough to worry about with children without watching what words you use?
Don't kids find enough ways to get into trouble and be repremanded without adding words to the list?
It's tough enough being a kid without adding words to the list.

We all use them, why give certain word superiority over others. We are all flesh and blood and whether or not you use certain words shouldn't be another means to keep us separated. We have to work together for the good of everyone. My __t stinks and so does yours. Maybe it's time that I should shut the ____ up. (how many people have thought that verbatim?)

Oh that mouth full of soap for using THOSE words as a kid!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Funny story: I worked with a girl that grew up in China, she was not able to swear in Chinese (she knew the words) as she had visions of her Mother correcting her however she had no problem dropping frequent F-bombs in English.

I don't swear for the most part.
I always considered it a redeeming quality of personality, the fact that I didn't have to resort to profanity to get my point across.
Now you tell me it doesn't matter?

I can still hear this conversation plain as day -
My 4year daughter and my mom in the other room looking at the fish tank

Mom - wow that fish is really big
Daughter - (without a pause) yeah, he is a real f-ing pig you should see him eat

I almost crapped myself hearing this. It came out so naturally! I realized I have to watch what I say

The father of one of my son's friends is a great guy, but has no filter and uses words around kids that make me blush at times. Some of his favorites are cocksucker, whorebag, and #^&#^&#^&#^&. I'm no prude, but I try to be careful around kids. I actually had to ask this guy to watch it around my son because he'd come home from their house and say "Dad, ______'s father said a bunch of bad words. I was glad that he knew better, but then realized he picked up things from me that he shouldn't say. A girl who sits at his table at school told on my son's friend for using the "s" word (same kid with the dad who swears a lot). My son told her "snitches get stitches" and she told on him. I had to have a talk with his teacher about it because he told her he picked that up from me.

That's a good son you have there. (no sarcasm intended) Also, literally choked on my coffee while reading that.

My nephew, when he was 3, was riding his little tykes truck in the backyard. My neice who was 7 was riding her bike around the yard too. She gets in front of him and stops. Without missing a beat he yells "Just Pukking Go!".....

Same Kid a few weeks later, while my bro-in-law is doing yard work, sits down to have a cold drink with Dad. Wipes his forearm across his brow and sayd "Man, its Pukking Hot!"

You don't know whether to yell or laugh when these things happen

It's not appropriate in most circumstances, seriously. Around children, in mixed company, at work, on the phone publicly, at sporting events.

If that's how you speak on a regular basis - and if you are at all interested in self-improvement, practicing some self-restraint with respect to your language is an easy fix and a good place to start.

Manners will serve you positively in your interactions with most people. Some place along the line having manners and controlling what you say and how you present yourself became viewed as an effeminate trait - nothing could be further from the truth.

Bad language is particularity disturbing coming from a woman.

My 17 year old Daughter has never said one swear her whole life. She just won't say a swear, her friends try to get her to but she won't. That is very surprising with how my wife swears

You mean like a porn queen in flagrante?
Or like in casual conversation with her clothes on?
Or both?
Because the distinctions are relevant..

A pity that most obscenity-prone women are morbidly obese, wearing pink cellulite-revealing tights, and screaming at children in the parking lots of Wal-Marts.
