Dwane's I think it was called ??
When I first got into carpentry the company I worked for ,, stopped at Dwaynes (spelling) over on Southern Artery in Quincy . They sold used building materials . If an old house , mansion whatever was being demolished they'd buy all the contents .. Some beautiful fire place mantles,,old doors ,, fancy moldings brick ,stone, windows .. you name it .. Some real treasures there at that time . Any places like that around anymore ? I noticed reclaimed lumber (old barns) is taking off ,, Beat up , wormy old wood makes an interesting floor ..what ever ,, If you like that kind of stuff .

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

There is a mill on Rodney French Blvd. in New Bedford, down by the peirs. 4 or 5 floors of reclaimed building materials. Everything from glass doorknobs to clawfoot tubs to mantles. I sold him an old soapstone sink a few years ago, he paid top dollar. I use him often.
