TONIGHT ><><<
i WASN,T SURE IF I WAS GOING TO WRITE THIS POST ....,BUT I AM FOR THE GOOD TIMES WITH SOME OF THE OLDLIES THAT MAYBE STILL ON THIS SITE .
i,VE BEEN ON A MINI ROLL THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS /SEARCHING /FINDING & THEN TRYING TO FIGURE THE BASS OUT .
LAST WEEK IT WAS DAYLIGHT IN THE BOAT / MADE 4 SHORT TRIPS && THEY WERE DESCENT AT LEAST TO MY STANDARD .
TO CATCH THEM YOU HAD TO HAVE WHAT THEY WANTED & FISHED EXACTLY HOW THEY WANTED IT >>>>DENIS CAN ATTEST TO THAT . HAD TO BE 3.5 FEET OR LESS ><><><
ALONG & IN BETWEEN THOSE THRIPS I HAVE BEEN MAKING A FEW SHORE TRIPS WITH VARIOUS DEGRESS OF SUCCESS .FROM SHORE;;;;
AGAIN , YA HAD TO FIGURE OUT WHAT & HOW THEY WANTED IT .
LAST FRIDAY NIGHT / 1ST FISH 10# / NICE FISH ON LIGHT GEAR & WEIGHTLESS PLASTIC . I HAD A GOOD NIGHT /
BUT ALSO HAD A FISH TAKE A TON OF LINE & THE HOOK PULLED /// THEN I HOOKED UP AGAIN & SHE PEELED LINE ,,UNTIL THE LINE JUST WENT DEAD >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SNAP STRAIGHTENED RIGHT OUT ................... A FEW MORE FISH & THEN BANG / ANOTHER LONG RUN /BROKE OFF . CALLED IT A NIGHT .............. THE CONDITIONS WERE GREAT .
I WENT BACK THE NEXT NIGHT ..AGAIN CONDITIONS WERE GREAT ...............ONE SMACK ..
THEN WE GOT THE LOUSY WEATHER SO IT WAS A COUPLE MORE SHORE TRIPS WITH SOME SUCCESS // WEDS NIGHT THE CONDITIONS WERE ALL WRONG /IN MY MIND / BUT IM SITIING IN THE TRUCK & THE RAIN ,DRIZZLE STOPS / SO WTF I FIGURE I,LL GIVE IT A FEW CASTS . EVERYTHING IS WRONG BUT NO ONE TOLD THE FISH ....... THE BITE & SIZE WAS DESCENT .... I GOT HUNG UP ON SOMETHING & BROKE OFF / GOOD ENOUGH .TIME TO GO HOME .
TODAY / WORKED AROUND THE HOUSE & LISTENED TO THE WIND CHIMES / MID AFTERNOON I NOTICED THEY WERE QUIET . CHECK THINGS OUT & IT WAS NICE / HEY MAKE A QUICKIE / HAD JUST A TWO HOUR WINDOW BUT HAD A DESCENT BITE WITH DESCENT FISH ;;
THIS EVENING VIC [THROWING THUNDER] CALLED & ASKED IF I HAD EATEN / NOPE ....SO HE SAID I,LL MEET YA .THAT WAS GOOD BECAUSE WE HAD A CHANCE TO B/S >>>THANKS VIC .................... HE HEADED NORTH & I HEADED SOUTH .
WELL WTF . MIGHT AS WELL TRY AGAIN .. I LEFT THE HOUSE AROUND 11;15 & THE BREEZE WAS PICKING UP / I WAS SURPRIZE BECAUSE CONDITIONS DIDN,T WARRANT IT .
I CAUGHT A COUPLE OF SMALLER FISH & HAD TWO VERY SOLID WACKS ;
WELL IT WAS NEARING F/I TIME WHEN I GOT SLAMMED .................................. & THE LINE WAS HEADING TO THE BLOCK & THERE WASN,T ANYTHING I COULD DO BUT HOLD ON .................................... WE WENT BACK & FORTH FOR A WHILE & I COULD FEEL THE WEIGHT & THE HEAD SHAKE / DAMN WTF .ONE LEG IS SHAKING /THAT,S BEEN AWHILE .................................................. .. AFTER WHAT FELT LIKE FOR EVER / SHE CAME UP / IT WAS TO DARK TO SEE , BUT ENOUGHT NOISE & SLAPS TO LET ME KNOW SHE,S PISSED ....... FINALLY I SEE HER HEAD / NICE / NOW SHE .S STILL NOT READY BUT I KNOW I HAVE TO WALK ABOUT 150YDS TO SAND SO I CAN BRING HER IN EASY .
WE MADE IT ........... I LOOKED & SHE WAS BIG , FOR WHERE I WAS & WHAT I WAS USING .
NO CAMERA // NO PHOTO PHONE .BUT A TAPE MEASURE IN THE TRUCK / THAT WOULD TAKE ALITTLE TIME TO GET TOO & SHE WOULD BE LAYING IN THE SAND .
i DECIDED IT WASN,T WORTH THE CHANCE OF HER LOSING HER LIFE FOR A MEASUREMENT .
SHE WENT BACK , REGAINED HER STRENGTH & WAS GONE ................. ALL I KNOW IS THAT FISH WAS BY FAR THE LARGEST I HAVE EVER CAUGHT ON A WEIGHTLESS PLASTIC / && THAT.S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME UNTIL I LOSE MY MIND .
I MADE A FEW MORE CASTS / CAUGHT ANOTHER SMALL && HOOKED UP TO ANOTHER GOOD FISH THAT TOOK MY LINE FOR A RIDE UNTIL THE HOOK PULLED .
SO ALL IS GOOD ............. GET UP GO TO BREAKFAST .. CHECK OUT A VACANT HOUSE /.. COME HOME PLANT SOME LATE SPRING BULBS //
HELP OUT / BY TAKING MY GRANDAUGHTER TO & FROM DANCE & THEN MESS UP HER PLANS OF BEING ALONE AFTER FOR 2 HOURS ............. SHE DOESN,T KNOW IT BUT SHE,LL BE SPENDING THEM WITH ME SOMEWHERE .EITHE R OUT TO EAT OR TO SHOP ;;
SUNDAY /S/B 1ST FLUKE TRIP ;;
ALL IS GOOD & IM ENJOYING WHAT I HAVE && HAD

Nice story Mike, the caps hurt my eye and makes you sound angry
Any idea how big the fish was? weight, length?
Ive been fishing a lot more soft plastics myself, so far my number one producer this season.

Thanks guys ,
Sorry about the caps .But I forget
I do online reports >>fill in the blanks && it has to be all caps . so I don,t even see it ..
Just FYI I don,t fish 9" - 12" Hogy,s , Sluggo,s , etc
The fish was caught on a 4 " knockoff sold by that couple @ the RISSA show that sells plastic by weight .,.,

Sweet CLAMMER, that must have been one hell of a fight on that small reel. Good of you to be more worried about releasing her than measuring, your a good man.
