Exclamation THE CREDIT UNION ALERT

please read, if you receive a text stating that your debit/atm/credit card has been deactivated, its a scam.

the ask for your 16 digit card number, expiration and pin number.

you probably already know these are scams, but they are targeting the elderly now too.

My mom works at an assisted living facility and a lot of the member now have cell phones to keep in touch with family, a few have called and given their info away.

even people who are new to cell phones are being targeted.

the text message reads : THE CREDIT UNION ALERT: Your ATM/CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please call the 24 hour account access line 401-519-3908.

The number my text came from was 401-935-5834.

just be on the look out for these texts hoping this helps someone or their family.
