hey DITCH -PENN 700

Just picked this up, literally,on the beach ,washed ashore.Just broke it down and seems OK,except for some pitting on the spool. It is the one with the stainless steel rot. cup housing (at least it looks like SS).Is there anything I should know about this reel, heard of the 704-706s but not this one ,and is it OK to drill some holes in the cup.It was seized up pretty good, even the main bearing was seized solid but 1/2 hr. in alcohol and it was free.

Except for the steel bottom on the rotor cup, it's the same as a 704. Darker green color is the only other cosmetic difference.

Never tried drilling a 700 so I dunno if the steel cup makes any difference.
