Aspirations For 2014!

My goals for the 2014 season are as follows! I want a 40 pounder from both the surf and the yak next season! More fishing from the kayak and more surf fishing in my local haunts as well! I would like to spend more time with my Yak Rat buddies in 2014! Other than Tagger I did not get to yak fish with many others last season though I did manage a fun trip with Backbeach Jake and Fishchick early season down Herring Cove! What are yours goals for the 2014 season?

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

To spend more time sharing casts with friends - lost two very close surfcasting friends in 2013.

I need to make more time to fish! The older I become the more responsibilities get in the way, but I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of the season. Last year I had tons of fish from surf and boat all season long, but hunting the big girls at night took a backseat to light tackle excursions during the wee hours and daylight. It's been 3 or 4 years since I've landed fish over 40 from either boat or surf, so I'm making it a point to find that dedication once more. Fishing with pals is up there too, since it was with a friend that I've seen many milestones in both of our careers as anglers. Here's to another year!

I hope to follow the anglers prayer
Lord give me the grace to catch a fish SO BIG that even I , when telling of it afterward may never need to lie. Amen

On a more serious note I hope to not fish as much as last year and get some stuff done that needs to be done. Maybe just 20 hours a week.

Fish (or share casts) with some guys I have not done so, and Block leg. Maybe a Cutty commando, but not a ChrisL type commando. That would be so wrong.

See some old friends. See Mikey in the boat.

Spend a week at the Cape in June.

Not too much else.

I want to once again successfully release alive all the fish I catch.

I'd also like to be there when Paul finally lands that huge cow he keeps dropping so I can be the first to congratulate him, or see him pulled into the water himself

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Same as everyone above- I want to hit the surf much more than I did this year- seemed I went a couple of times and all of a sudden it was winter.
Screw work for 2014- I'm fishing.

I hope to capture catching my trophy on my GoPro and hopefully be strong enough to release it! As long as I can get it on video I will be able to do just that! That would be awesome!

I always like to fish with Back Beach. "Take your skunkings like a man" is something that Mike says and I will go down in a blaze of glory living by that constant sentiment (you bastid). Hopefully we get to fish more next year. Wish I got to fish with TO more so that is on the list, but when I did see Uncle Tone it was fun as always. I would really like to fish with DZ or Numbskull for a tide. I don't know them personally, but I respect the way they fish. maybe they'll be sympathetic towards an enthusiatic, die-hard, inconsistent, fairly young, plug-fishing surfcaster ( yes, I just put you guys on the spot. Dennis you have plugs on the way).

Missed fishing with Cheferson this year, but he has a lot going on (all good stuff) so i will make more of an effort to fish when he can get out.

And of course my man Angus, hope to fish even MORE with him next season (if that's even possible).

If this job that my girl and I have been interviewing for comes to fruition, all of this should be possible. fingers, arms, and legs crossed!

And last but not least, I need to fish with Bob!!! (5/0)

I just want to keep learning and keep the love that I have for the sport alive. Fish as much as possible while keeping a healty balance and not doing harm to the other more important parts of my life. Fish with some good friends that I didn’t get out with much in 2013 but also enjoy many nights alone with the sea.

Bottoming out my 60# boga would be nice too
