Just pulled out the flyrod Patrick

Haven't gone to the darkside since I had the Orvis t3 909 stolen from me. Just a thought that I might flyfish the derby this year. Checked four flyboxes, and they are full of all the flies I made for catching on the Vineyard. Went out to the back yard and cast for awhile and while tiring it felt pretty good. Love catching albies, blues, and the occasional bonefish on the fly. So Patrick what do ya say?

I am planning on being on island as much of October 9 through 19 as work will allow and will have the fly rods with me. May squeeze in some more days earlier in the Derby if I can sneak over and find a cheap place to crash. Still in pursuit of those bones I dropped on the beach with the fly rod a few years back. That and the albies!

Good luck Frank, Patrick, and all who make the Derby.
Looks like I won't get there again to fish.
First Grandchild due 9/11. Wife very exited & won't go far from home.
I told my kid her timing is very bad.
Wife and I were looking forward to going, even though I can't fish hard with her in tow.
Best we can hope for now is a day escape - Breakfast at the Artcliff, let the wife shop a bit and hang at a beach.

rphud - catch an Albie for me !

Frank…as always, I will have the flyrod rigged and ready. For me it's just another weapon on the truck…and in the boat. Gonna fish pretty hard from Cape side most of the derby and then launch a full on island based assault starting Sat Oct 11. Will be on hand when the final bell tolls on the 18th. Psyched as it will be the first year I have control of a boat for the whole derby. Last time that happenned I was on the board a lot. Bonus is that my old Oak Bluffs pahtnah is all in as well. Big expectations to at least be competitive. Of course this is all assuming work doesnt ruin much.

John…We still have a couple spots left $350 Sat the 11th to Awards Sunday!!!!!
