Where would you send newbies to fish in Rhody?

Hey Guys,
My son and his buddy want to drive up to Rhody to surf fish tomorrow, daytime. They just want to catch"anything", and are pretty new at the game, and will probably be throwing bait unless they luck into something on top.
Any suggestions on a likely place to try, what to use, whats running?
Most likely in the Charlestown to P.J. area?
Not looking for anyone's spots, just whats happening up there.
Thanks for any help.
Bill

Charlestown Breachway @ high tide w/o Korkers - JUST KIDDING. Maybe try the salt pond inCharlie though or E. Beach? Sure you'll get some better info. from the locals....

I have seen schools of blues running around the Pt. Judith - Scarboruogh beach area the last few weeks during the day. that may be worth a shot. Charlestown breachway is also worth checking out. I have had luck throwing jigs in the channel leading into the pond for schoolies during the day. I'm not much help cuz I usually fish at night.

Not sure what kinds of daytime "beach crowds" are around Charlie right now but the beach there is OK. Check Weekapaug beaches either side of breachway as there is probably the start of a daytime action.. Bring small tins too, megabait / deadly #^&#^&#^&#^&s for bass/blue/alboe/bone action

I'd send them to Watch Hill light or Napatree.

Tell them to try plugging inside the salt ponds so they do not get washed out to sea with swell - they can be good when there is a big swell on from a tropical storm.
