Hey Anthony,

Chrome Creek Chubs, Gags poppers & mambo minnows 5&7 inch, .5/.75/1.0-oz jig heads, Soft plastic baits like FinS fish, Zoom Flukes/Albinos, Berkley Powerbait 4 or 5 inch Shad bodies (sliver bottom, Dk Green/Black top), bucktail teasers... How's that for a start??

a teaser is a fly ( clouser/deceiver) tied on to your line with either a dropper loop or a swivel . Tied 18" to 24" in front of your lure . Many colors work and it mimicks a bigger bait chasing a smaller bait . Stripers will target the chasee ( the teaser) .

Here is a link to a previous teaser thread, also, if you do a board search on teasers (next to profile) you'll see many refferences to teasers...

Bucktail jigs. Make sure you get good ones like Saltheart's article says. You can get 4 or 5 decent bucktails for the cost of a Dani Plug and chances are, the buctail will out produce the Dani.

while at the store i saw some plastic teasers that i thought were rather big, they were 4 inch plastig shrimp. Shoudl i be getting flies or plastic teasers? how big should they be if the are plastic? should the flie float or sink if it should be a flie. the rig i was planning on using was a bucktail jig with about 30 inches of 30 pound mono tied to a barrel swivel which would be connected to a snap swivel on my main line and then have another barrel swivel attached to that same snap swivel with a 6 inch mono leader (30#) connected to the teaser. would this work??? would it produce many hookups? or would the fish just laugh at my rig?lol
