A largely black group of Chicago residents infuriated by looters blighting the city pushed back against a Black Lives Matter protest.
As access was again blocked to downtown overnight to stop more marauding — with bridges raised and expressway ramps closed — protesters turned to the South Side, where a man allegedly started a shootout with cops in an arrest that sparked chaos.
The Englewood locals resisted, kicking out the protesters from BLM and groups campaigning to defund the police, according to Fox 32.
“If you ain’t from Englewood, get the f–k out of here,” longtime local resident Darryl Smith shouted at protesters during tense confrontations.

Judges in Chicago have increasingly ordered criminal defendants placed into an electronic-monitoring program in lieu of jail, a move police officials blame for the surge in gun violence plaguing the city.
On Aug. 9, 43 people facing murder charges were enrolled in Cook County's electronic-monitoring program, a 40% increase from the same day last year. In addition, 160 people charged with robbery and 1,000 people charged with illegal gun possession are enrolled as of Aug. 9, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
The Chicago Police Department has cited the increase in program participants who would otherwise be granted high bail or remanded to police custody for the spike in gunplay.

Police officals they provide zero evidence the 2 are related. Its very easy to Corroborated. If it happening. They would provide examples not hypothesis

Like i said its not hard aka complicated to provide the data . To support the claim .
But create fear and suggestion these people are a great contribution to the over all crime rate. Is just a ploy to say you need us or else is easy
But also in the article the state attorney
Foxx says the statistics don’t back that up. For instance, Foxx says of the more than 1,800 arrests for illegal gun possession in the first six months of 2020, only a relative few — 26 — were “repeat offenders.”
