Good luck and I hope you have an easy recovery... I am seriously thinking about not attending Christmas Eve day gathering at my sister's in Dover NH, with her two daughters' families and three granddaughters all staying at her house. Just got over the cough from hell/bronchitis and really don't need to be putting myself into a petri dish, which is often what I see happening.
FWIW I got two initial vax jabs, then booster November 2021. Got covid in May '22 at a memorial gathering. Did my part during the big initial phase. Now I am just trying to build up my own antibodies and supplement with vitamins, etc. Seeing too many boosted folks come down with it again. My daughter has it for her third time.
Not judging. Just my choice from this seat, at this time.

Tough time of year with all the family gatherings, been lucky I guess to not have gotten it, third booster hopefully makes it an easy recovery if or likely when. Being extra careful with new grandson, especially with RSV and all. Good luck John.

Rapid test or PCR test? the rapid tests are pretty iffy, I'd follow it up with a PCR if you want to make sure.
Anyways, feel better for the holidays.

Feel better John. I have been lucky and caught nothing. Of course I take enough meds to kill anything that even gets near me. 8 heart meds, 2 Covid shots, 2 boosters and the Flu shot. Some other under controlled meds and off we go.

Studies over here seem to indicate that neither natural antibodies nor vaccines offer long term immunity. It's the nature of SARS viruses.

Take it easy, Johm. Rest, rest, and then rest some more. And hydrate. I'm still feeling some effects 2 months later.

covid
Wife and I both had it before anyone knew what it was. She is an ER nurse and has been dealing with Covid since the start. This virus replicates by imbedding in the mucous membranes, eyes ,throat, lungs. For years when I get a cold I take Zink, gargle with Chloraseptic and eat Chicken soup . Colds used to last 3 weeks sore throat, nasal, lungs. Since using Zink went from 3 weeks to 5 days tops. I believe this protocol reduced the viral count and allowed my Immune response to lessen the severity. Had gurgling in my lungs for a month but severity was not bad. Good luck to all Mike

Been taking zinc and vitamin C daily for the last 2+ years, and nothing else.
Had covid 1 time earlier this year (I work in a school so I was bound to catch it) but it was very mild... headache and fatigue for about 4 days. I've been fortunate.
My son just had covid last week for the 2nd time, and it was very mild luckily... more like a cold.

Had something similar last week one day of 103 fever, no other symptoms. Then 4-5 days run down. Tested negative.

So I did go to my sister's for the family Christmas Eve gathering. Largest in a long time. Sixteen adults including nieces, nephews and their significant others. But one of my brother's daughters did not attend as she tested positive this morning, while testing in the same house at the same time as my brother, his wife, another daughter and her BF.... If I come down with it, I am going to be some pissed off...

There a lot of nasty stuff goin around. 3 weeks ago kids got crushed by flu. Then I went to Maine to build a house in shorty weather. And got sick. 12 hrs in er. Lost 14 pounds that I didn't have to lose. in 4 days from committing Took 2 bags of Iv just to get me to pee. Messed up my stomach lining from vommittting. Ended up with flow blown pneumonia which is prob at least the 30 time I've had it in my life so no biggie to me. But now a week after finishing my meds I have got a terrible cough and lung butter by the pound that I didn't experience as bad as with pneumonia. Gonna end up back at doc Monday.
There were people esp littte kids sicker than I was. And there are some dumb dumb people that go to the er hopin they can fix stupid.
Good luck and feel better. Tis season of giving.
Merry Christmas everyone.
