I think a forum where Westportmafia (and anyone else) could post more adult humor, like the short lived but hilarious urban dictionary thread would be great. Just make it password protected so the kids can't access it.
And I also think the sponsors area needs to be updated. And it would be nice if the sponsors were more active on the site.

When I started surf fishing a lot this site really flourished. Saltwater Edge moved away from fly fishing and started carrying more surf gear. As I got more into surfcasting I noticed more builders making custom plugs and this site got a lot of traffic.
As I slowed down my fishing I've noticed the S-B.com slowing down.
Now I'm not saying there's a correlation here, but the timing is a bit odd.

Its done a great job of polarizing people against one another for lame effing reasons. It really began the downfall of this place.
Hell, its a good portion of the reason He Who Shall Not Be Mentioned isn't here anymore. Before that forum, yeah he was/is a little loopy, but it just sent him over the top on here. I still consider him a good friend and am happy to see him at the shows. But not online. |
