It's a direct FU to Putin and I love it. I despise Obama, but this is a pretty good dig.

That's exactly my thought.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

While its a nice middle finger I'd assume Putin is more concerned with terrorists blowing up the games.

It is an action that I would expect from a high school kid as opposed to our POTUS, sophomoric at best. Think Reagan would have been satisfied with flipping the bird with a gay messenger corps? "Oh, hi. I'm here from the US to annoy you, just a little..." Nothing less than a "tap" and twist where the sun don't shine would have been sent by a great leader, IMO......

We've seen at best, lukewarm leadership & foreign policy with this administration. So once you orientate your expectations down you can take this passive aggressive move for what it is, a mildly impressive dig at Pooty.

My firm stand is that orienting down, as you say, or the general acceptance of lower standards across the board by Americans in today's society, is extenuating the demise of America from its era of gold into rust.... I won't be around to see it, thank God, but the fall is not too far off, IMO.

No, Mr Spinmeister. Having to promote and defend that, as a priority and worthy of front page values is what I question as being representative of what America stands for. Go look at CL personals and see how many men for men ads there are and tell me that is what we need to be discussing, promoting, defending, and pretending that having all this in full view is contributing to a better society.

What does any of this have to do with CL personals?

Simple, straightforward answer for that, Chris. Front page of CL Boston, looking to click "boats." Cursor doesn't have to stray far to the left to be accidently in the wrong search group. When all that chit came up, with Johnson stuffing pics, I was like WTF!?!?!? This stuff is too accessible, and too much accepted.

The question is pretty straightforward.

It sounds like your beef has more to do with adult content than the Olympics. How you connected the two is still beyond me.

too dangerous to go there as many world leaders have said
nope not gonna do it...
plus i think it's an acknowledgement that Russia has been funneling the weaponry
that's killing innocent women and children

i mean Hey,
when the sniper targets the baby in the womb with his first shot
then kills the mother afterwards with the second shot
that's going to have some ramifications to be sure.

It certainly is fuel for radicalization. At that point you become so outraged you don't care who's on your side.

Stop playing the stupid card. It is your MO as you posture your next response. Enough of us here have discussed it and are sick of it. YOU got the point and acknowledged it in your response about giving Putin the middle finger by sending a blatantly gay biased party under the guise of representing the President. The adult content, as you choose to see it is the moral denigration of our fabric as a country, as we have been getting the gay rights shoved down our throats, and into our streets and schools. I find it hard to swallow that this is the platform Obama chooses to represent himself, and the American people, with.

I just think it's awesome that the greatest country on earth sends a gay former gold medal winner as their representative to a country that is outwardly intolerant of homosexuality. Definitely petty, possibly childish, but i will enjoy it thoroughly.

Again, this is NOT foreign policy. This is amateur athletics.

Didn't see that coming...

I'm sure Obama is tired of getting repeatedly out-maneuvered by Putin on the world stage (eg Syria), here is Obamna's chance to say "nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah". That's all this is.

And that's all it is. Funny how some can't even stand to give O a few props without twisting it into something it isn't.

Yes, we should all take a page fom your book, and give credit where it's due, even to our adversaries. I asked you once about Bush's AIDS program that is credited with saving more than one million lives in Africa. You dismissed that as simply a "gesture". I remember that like it was yesterday. When Bush saves a million lives, it's merely a neocon "gesture".

Why don't you practice what you preach sometime?
