God, it felt good to talk plugs and fishing again. I needed it big time.

Highlight came at the end when some quiet 16yo kid was standing there drooling over a purple skinny donny. Said he fished 360 hrs at night in the canal last year (using his mother for transport, God bless her) and wanted to buy one to try there. I told him it was too unstable, he said he'd use it at slack. So I gave it to him. He pulled out a wallet to try and pay me and I told him no, just to take it and fish it. He stood there wide eyed when I had my best idea of the day………………………………I turned to Paul and told him to give the kid a plug…….and of course he did.

Three happy people. A good day all around.

Josh is a great kid, hand turning him a few 14" metal lips, kid said no one would make him one that big... when a kid say he wants to toss a big twig at slack, i have ni problem making him something.

Hats off to his mom as well, i have a ton of respect for her as my mother raised me herself and took me fishing just about every weekend fresh and salt. God bless moms!

Just talked with him and he wants to get into turning.....told him I would help him find a reasonable lathe! Anyone feel like helping me start a project to help get him a lathe or know anyone selling one cheap that might be good for him? I just sold one to Saltheart that would have been good....would have given it to him. He is a good kid. Any thoughts?

It was nice meeting a lot of you and seeing some old faces; this will help making the last couple of months tolerable before the season starts.

finally got unloaded and still need to put stuff away, got truck semi ready for work tomorrow. Good seeing everyone and yes nametags would help.
Lots of fish catching plugs I saw today.
missed quite of few who could not make it there today, maybe next time.
Thanks John

Someone had asked me about epoxy-sealing and I was going to send him some information about the sealer I use. My apologies, but I forgot who I spoke to. If you see this, please PM me.

Always great seeing everyone yesterday and nice meeting some new faces too. Thanks to all who gave me plugs and the workmanship by some has gone beyond great. Did miss seeing some regular faces too, especially Joe, Rockfish. Probably saw, a few guys I have never met in person yet so name tags would have helped for sure. Thanks to JohnR and Slip and all the guys who helped put it on. Fun was had by all. Hopefully see you all at the too cold to fish nite.

Thats GooGoo Man's squid darter. (name was covered for the contest) I am the proud owner of a smaller version of that plug and it is indeed awesome.

It was good to get together and talk and trade plugs once again. Thanks John and Slip and everyone who helped put this event together.

Yup glad I made it down. Did seem like we were missing some people. I didn't trade anything but most of my plugs were for fw. I'm not sure who the two little girls came with but I think they did alright. Also I believe it was Bite me and his son that came around and got some of my older plugs. Also I didn't get over to trade a plug for some of the tied up teaser and hooks. Time went by pretty fast.
I'm going to have to see if I can get the Sunday off for TFCTFN, I believe that is it if not close enough to know what I'm talking about. I will bring a few plugs then and see if I can do a few more plastics.
