It sounds like you are on to something, I would have NEVER thought of exotic jerky as appealing to the crowd in Newport, but people love tasty things so it makes sense.
Let me know if you want a partner to open one up in Salem! (I don't have any money but I am educated )

Newport Jerky imposes ban on all associates of Vladmir Putin, inclusive, from receiving Jerky or other products marketed by Newport Jerky. Newport Jerky promotes fair trade compensation for their Jerky products produced worldwide. Newport Jerky spokesman, NewportMafia, stated in his official statement, let the Jerk sic Vladimar Putin et al, eat it raw... We believe Putin's actions against the Ukraine violate the principles of fair trade we so value with our producers and as such, Putin and his associates should not benefit from our gourmet brand jerky's from around the globe.

I took the wife and kid to Newport today and stopped at NJC. We were able to find free parking on Thames right near the store. The store is set up real nice with a lot of unique items you won't find anywhere else. They were sampling alligator and Cajun alligator jerky along with wasabi bombs and ghost pepper peanuts. Both types of jerky were great and my son made me buy the Cajun alligator for him. I was the only one who tried the ghost pepper peanuts and they were really good and hot, but not inedible. We also grabbed a bottle of hot sauce, some teriyaki ahi jerky and some maple brown sugar bacon jerky. We already tried the chipotle hot sauce and its a unanimous hit at my house. I'll post my reviews of the other stuff once we try it, which will probably be tonight.

Yes we will be at the show this weekend. Definetly Scallopfest and beer fest in Newport coming up. There are a crap ton of shows this year. We will probably do a bunch of them. Also getting into some smaller high end supermarkets.

Hey Jay, donate some for the TFCTFN. I'm sure it would be a good marketing tactic and get you some new customer.

I think he has ghost pepper sauce, but I'm not sure if it was buffalo sauce. The chipotle sauce is excellent. We also got into the bag of maple and brown sugar bacon jerky. It was great. Think about bacon flavored candy. I'm planning on trying the ahi jerky tonight.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

Ha! If you guess how much snow will be on my deck by the end of the storm I'll hook you up with something real tasty. I'll take a pic with a ruler and post it. You can be off no more than .75 inches.

Got a dusting. I'll be at the show Saturday and Sunday with a limited supply of stuff ( we have way too much stuff in the shop to bring some of everything) My partner will be there tomorrow. You mentioned ghost pepper buffalo. If your really interested in that I can have a small batch made under our private label and have it ready in a couple weeks. Either way I'll take care of you when you stop in for a visit.

I just had some of the teriyaki ahi jerky. It's got just enough teriyaki flavor that you notice it, but you it's not overwhelming. I definitely recommend it.
