I'm launching out of Taylor Point around noon and will move south until we find them. Probably starting around Marion to Mattapoisett, depending on the crowds. Wife's competition on 68 or Liv2. Catchem up!

Hope you're all catching out there and the weather is good. Can[t wait to see the pics. Wish I could taste a little tog chowder but I'll have to just hear how good it was and use the old imagination while I spoon a can of snows clam chowda.

Good luck!

Me, too. Unfortunately, my back is dictating my social calendar. I think I got something in me for some hard water fishing this year. We'll see.

I didn't get many pictures at all unfortunately, Ty didn't get any of the fish either. My camera is home, I'll post the ones I did take later. But I can give a quick recap. Guppy, thank you very much for having us on board we had a great time.
We headed out about 9:30 and fished a spot Guppy had some success at earlier in the week. Of course different day and tide produced slow results. We had scattered small fish. Tried a few more spots with the same results, inside was slow everywhere for us. We got in touch with Paul and Dan they were doing much better so we headed out to meet them.
We got out to where Paul was, from a distance it looked like he had an 8' round pumpkin on board for the Halloween season but as we got closer I realized it was just Skippy wearing orange grundens. They were on a mix of fish from smalls to keepers. Right as we got there Skip was on, Paul had one and the high hook of the boat Domenic hooked up after them! He clearly inherited his mother's fishing skills as he hooked up a few more times while we were next to them. It was great watching him catch, reminded me of when Ty was young. We started catching, a few smalls then Guppy and I got a few decent fish. Ty seemed to have the short fish blues all day. He couldn't get a keeper to bite.
After a while Dan came over to where we were. They had fish too, at one point his Mom and Dad were each on fish. That was great to see.
Overall we had an excellent day. Can't thank Guppy enough for having us.

Does your incessant whining make you feel better? How about you just shut the hell up and suck it up? It's a fishing forum , so please just stop.

Sorry we didn't connect with you guys, we got out later than expected.
We did see the seals though...

Sounds like Angler229 got his parents out there too!! That's AWESOME man, enjoy your parents as long as you can.

It was a great day out there...weather-wise, water-wise, total package. Would have been nice to bust stones amongst you Togfesting delinquents though...but perhaps next time. Me and dad stayed in closer and managed a few piggies.

We had a great time. After a slow start off of Marion, We moved to Nye's off Mattapoisett and started hitting shorts. After the tied started moving, we managed a few 6 pounders. This is Lily, my oldest and her pal Lucas. Not sure why it won't post upright.

The highlight for me was me trying to get my hands on the tog in the live well so we could take the pic. Lucas stopped me and said "these are the easiest fish to hold. They have this hole under their tail that you can just stick your thumb into and it's like they're paralyzed. Then you just hold them by the gills with your other hand". I wasn't able to get a pic of the patented hold but had a good chuckle.

Tried to raise you guys on the radio from Nye's but no luck.

I went out with Paul, Throwing Timber, and another guy last year. I am from CT and it was a blast. I cannot believe how hard I laughed at this "hold" for the tog....and chewing gum. You guys are way tooo funny. Hope to be able to make it next year. Have been out locally and did "ok"....still a lot of the season to go.

I've been dreading this thread. I'm still winterized and shrink-wrapped from last year…Stupid life challenges….Lets get some dates going. I'll figure out the boat thing…I'll never hear the end of it from my oldest if we miss this. Niko, Can I get in on the crabs this year if you're spreading them again.

Yeah,
Mine went to the fields early this year. Lost one hub, barely got the thing in #^&#^&#^&#^&y's driveway.

I think we usually do this the last Sunday in October. It's the 30th and I can probably do that day.

If not the 22nd and 23rd are open for me, too.

Why don't we do this on Saturdays?

Just wondering,
Thanks,
Rick

It's been a warm fall. I'm thinking later works better (plus I have another striper trip planned in mid October). Last weekend in October?
