WIcked tuna question

So when the fish hit on the show its always, click, click, click zoooooom. Do they really hit like that while bait fishing? I know the show is way more than half BS, but i have been wondering about the actual hit for a while.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Pretty sure they just copied (or were inspired by) the sound effect from Jaws, when Quint first hooked the shark on rod and reel.
Doesn't sound like that in real life.

Yup...

Two things.
1. If I heard 'Georgy Banky' one more time I was tossing the remote.
2. Anyone else think a couple of those fish were a bit small last night....

Say what you will about being fake or drama I still love the show! My wife and I watch it every night. I still think those guys are good fisherman and dedicated. It gives me a taste of what it might be like to reel in a giant. Somthing that may never happen. I take it for entertainment value and that's it. Just my two cents. And how can you not love the crew on the hard merchandise?

Every bite is different but a lot of them bend rods right over . Sometimes you'll just see the line move and you'll reel tight on them . And if you have a floater out sometimes you'll see the bait acting erratically and actually see the tuna get the bait .

No matter how they hit, the adrenaline rush if FANTASTIC! Then comes the Chinese fire drill to prepare for battle

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

How can you not lie a guy who uses his full bait well, as a jacuzzi?

I like the Hot Tuna, too. I like the Rotweillers running around. Id do a charter with that boat...

There is nothing to describe it. The first time I saw a big fish hit I just kept saying "there's something wrong with that rod, there's something wrong with that rod" because there was no way in hell a fish could pull that much drag so quickly for so long!
the speed and power these fish have is incredible.
If your watching the rod you can see them hit, or the line move, or the rubber band stretch but in about 3 seconds he's gone.

The quadruple hookup with all big fish was insane. I've never even seen a dual hookup.

In real life they handed one rod off to another boat and ended up 3/4
