Tog thread (again)

There was a Tog thread several weeks ago but it went by the way side.

Was wondering if anyone is getting any Togs at the Cape? I know October is their month.

Would it be better to target BB or the Elizebeth Islands ?

I'd sure be for it; was a lot of fun a few years ago. Is anyone planning on organizing it?

I'd be down. I looked at the thread for a few years ago and it was the 14th that we went out.

It's got to be getting going. I went out about 3 weeks ago and couldn't get through the BSB and scup. Went last weekend and it was all tog but all shorts. I heard that a 24" fish was caught pretty far up in the bay past Marion, so there's got to be a few slobs around but the water is still pretty warm. I'm going to hit it hard this weekend and head south, maybe as far as cutty or mishaum.

I will be heading out this weekend (Sat & Sun) weather permitting to see what I can see. Togging is new to me and I have yet to target them, but this weekend I will give it my first shot.

If one of the ole hats wishes to put together a togfest you can DEFINITELY count me in, anywhere, anytime.

Last year I was going to hoe on someone else's boat thinking I would learn more but if need be I can bring my boat in as long as someone with some boat togging experience can join me. Don't need to be an expert but it helps....

Does your incessant whining make you feel better? How about you just shut the hell up and suck it up? It's a fishing forum , so please just stop.

Bernie, I'm glad you brought this up..

I've been going and it's been slow (for me )
I went out of Westport Tuesday fished a hi to low tides moved three times and only ended up with 2 out of a bunch of shorts. My fishing tech support ( Niko :-) ) tells me the water is still too warm... He knows of what he speaks :-) and then some...

I'll start a Togfest thread soon, let's hope we pick a winner weekend with the weather.... And it blows offshore so everyone doesn't go BFT fishing :-)

Stay tuned sports fans

I take him EVERY time I go fishing at the Cape. After a long days fishing I take him into Hyannis where we go for a long walk and he gets a million compliments, we stop for dinner at a restaurant that has an outdoor patio so the hound can join me. I always order him a full meal.

He's a Giant Schnauzer.

Can't speak for the cape.... But I've been getting them in RI. Picking through shorts, but some nice ones have come over the rail too.
