No shock that he just gave a Fox exec a post, even though he too was accused of inappropriate behavior; but DJT I’m sure is in good company with all those execs leaving or being let go for inappropriate behavior. Unfortunately we have nobody above him to give him his pink slip.
I guess you would agree with Trump when he says Kim is an honorable man, that he believes Putin never authorized any election meddling, that all Mexicans are rapists and gang members and the me too movement is a political ploy to get the women vote out to oust this clown. I’m also have no doubt you believe there is no global warming and the crazy weather the past few years is just a fluke.
I know you can’t stop posting to win every argument, but I’m not drinking the cool aid you and some others seem to be high on. Trump I’m certain pissed off many when cancelling all joint exercises with the South Koreans without getting anything other than what could be just another promise, can’t be any concerns with him meeting privately with Putin right🤮

The media doesn’t but there should be an official government record of the meeting even if its not immediately made public. I’d think he should also have a translator.

Wayne, there is no strong moderate Dem wing anymore. There are Progressives to Socialists, and a few remaining moderates . The more extreme of these people want to pull the Constitution apart and they are gaining influence. Yes, ugly Republicans are a better alternative to that.

I think the moderate dems are all still there, they just don't have a unified face to rally around.
Sure the "third party candidate" talk gets tired but I could absolutely see a massive GOP exodus forming a legit 3rd party that many dems would jump on to if the DNC can't put up a solid candidate.
To soon to tell though. Until the investigation fallout settles nobody knows what either party may look like.

Woods served two combat tours during the Vietnam War, the first as an infantry officer, and the second with the elite United States Army Special Forces.[2]
After graduating from the Defense Information School and being promoted to lieutenant colonel, he was assigned as an instructor of Military Science & Tactics, (Army ROTC) at the City College of New York. He retired from active duty in 1974.[4]
Actually, a biography of Tiger Woods by Benedict and Keteyian starts out with:
"This biography begins the only way it probably could have: with the car accident at Woods’s home on the day after Thanksgiving in 2009 that precipitated his steep fall from grace. He groggily ran over hedges and curbs and smashed into a fire hydrant after his wife, Elin, who had learned of his adultery, apparently smashed his S.U.V. windows with a golf club.
At the time, Elin didn’t know the half of it. Woods’s paramours (strippers, waitresses, neighbors) began popping up from behind every swizzle stick."
And:
"Woods’s parents, especially Earl Woods, Tiger’s father . . . raised a champion. They also raised a narcissistic loner who lacked basic decency. 'Even the most basic human civilities — a simple hello or thank you — routinely went missing from his vocabulary. A nod was too much to expect.' This book is littered with the bodies of those Woods cut out of his life without a thank you or goodbye — girlfriends, coaches, agents, caddies. If you stripped most of the golf out of this book, you might sometimes think you are reading the biography of a sociopath, a nonmurderous Tom Ripley or Patrick Bateman or Svidrigailov from 'Crime and Punishment.' Earl Woods, the worst kind of stage father, profited early and often from his son’s career. He was a liar and an adulterer. The later years of his life were particularly sordid. He hired multiple young women to attend to his needs. 'Pornography played steadily on the television,' the authors write. “Sex toys were stuffed in drawers, and sexual favors were performed at Earl’s request. ‘It was a house of horrors,’ recalled a former employee. ‘Every drawer. Every cabinet.’”

But his father taught him the game. He was a taskmaster, and played psychological games with Tiger to make him mentally tough.
You said "Trump is like the brutal soccer coach and tyrannical father figure, living vicariously through his tortured boys. Sure he knows what makes a great soccer player and in theory a great team, yet knowing these things helps him achieve neither." No doubt Tiger's father, like your brutal soccer coach, lived vicariously through Tiger's success. And, contrary to your notion that "all this does little to make great soccer players or a great team. It only makes boys that can't wait for each game and practice to end, wishing daily they were old enough to quit, so they could move on to something they enjoy and make their own decisions," Tiger did become great and he loved to practice and he loved his father. Actually, a biography of Tiger Woods by Benedict and Keteyian show that Tiger and his father, in some ways, especially sexual, are more like the media's portrayal of Trump rather than being upright, honorable people
Bobby Knight would be a better example of the brutal coach you conjure up. He more closely lived up to your depiction of such a coach of whom you say "His MO is belittling his boys, forcing them to practice until they are sore and beat physically and more so mentally. Come game time it's screaming obscenities from the sidelines at both his boys for not staying in their lanes, the opponents and the coaches." And yet he created winning teams and championships and was respected by most of his players.
There are many stories of children who were forced to practice an instrument against their will and who would rather do something else, but in the end, became highly successful, even great virtuosos and wound up being thankful for their parents "brutal" discipline. Some may not have eventually been thankful, but became wealthy, famous stars of their craft, a la, Michael Jackson. Various armed services and special forces go through tortuous training and come out better than they went in and respected their drill master.
But Trump doesn't actually seem to fit your brutal soccer coach mode.
His children love him and are loyal to him. They are not failures who resent the way he raised them. And many who know Trump say he is the opposite of your brutal soccer coach. And many like him and are loyal to him. And he rewards loyalty.
Of course, you probably don't believe any of that. I take the word of those who like him, are loyal to him, say he is congenial in person and not the psychopathic monster that various media portray him to be. I have no reason to think that they are lying. But you, apparently, do not believe them. And so, for you, he is that despicable being, and so you can add to the narrative and make him the "brutal coach" who is hated by his players and who does not create winners.
Sometimes, often, "brutal" coaching is not as brutal or rotten as you depict it and can actually achieve winners, champions, better people . . . success.
But, the context as Spence would call it, is different when comparing Trump with a brutal coach. Politics (not statesmanship) is a dirty game. In politics it is the nature of the game to play dirty. In politics, the dirtiest player does not necessarily finish last. Nor does the least dirtiest player necessarily finish first. But most all of them play dirty. And always have.

It cuts both ways. When Warren or the media poke at him he pokes back. Even doubles down. If he is to be criticized for poking, so should those who poke him. Oh, that's right, Trump lies and Warren and the media don't.
No shock that he just gave a Fox exec a post, even though he too was accused of inappropriate behavior; but DJT I’m sure is in good company with all those execs leaving or being let go for inappropriate behavior. Unfortunately we have nobody above him to give him his pink slip.
Ferreting out inappropriate behavior has reached new heights of late. It's a way to disrupt or tear down. It's politics. There has been so much of it exposed or reputed that I have been desensitized to it. All I intensely care about re Trump is hoping that he can nominate judges to replace at least 2 or 3 more. But I understand your concern. I just don't care.
I guess you would agree with Trump when he says Kim is an honorable man,
I don't care. What Trump says about Kim doesn't interest me. The whole NK thing has become an exercise in stupidity that should never have been allowed to happen. There should be no NK. The Truman administration gave NK to the Commies to "balance" our presence there. They got NK, we got SK. Dumb move. Wasn't necessary. Now we're supposed to worry about what Trump says re Kim? Were we shaking in our boots about what all the previous administrations said about NK's leaders? What the hell did they all do about it? Anyway, if Trump is a liar, what are we to make of what he says about Kim or anything else. I suppose it would be best if he referred to Kim the way the Dems and media refer to Trump. That would really get the negotiations ball rolling on a good path.
that he believes Putin never authorized any election meddling,
He believes what he believes and you believe what you believe. I don't know what the truth is. And I don't care to get in your way of believing what you want to believe.
that all Mexicans are rapists and gang members
He didn't say that. And if you believe that he did, then I have no confidence in anything you believe.
and the me too movement is a political ploy to get the women vote out to oust this clown. I’m also have no doubt you believe there is no global warming and the crazy weather the past few years is just a fluke.
I don't know how you can be so positive about that which you know nothing about. But I don't care what you believe. If your beliefs remove your doubts and make you feel better, who am I to take away your security blanket? Believe to your hearts content, and may you persist in the good health that your beliefs provide.
I know you can’t stop posting to win every argument,
I declare that you have won this argument . . . if it can be called an argument. I don't think anything said by you nor I here can be considered an actual argument, but I concede. You're the winner. I sincerely hope that makes you feel better, or believe better, but I actually don't care. The only reason I'm responding (well, the main reason) is that it's fun.
but I’m not drinking the cool aid you and some others seem to be high on. Koolaid is a historical reference to a 1978 incident in Jonestown, Guyana where 900 people, mostly members of a religious cult died after drinking Koolaid laced with cyanide and other drugs.

And they are willing to look the other way (trump) so they can get a Supreme court appointment . who will bring them back in time when America was Great reverse that pesky Roe V wade reverse equal protection of people from those not like them. roll back regulations even if we dont know what they do or why we have them its just sounds good.. hell they even bring back merry Christmas.. and god back in schools and all will be good again who are ugly Republicans are the ones who are going to do that ... ??? Devin Nunes and yet we have Trump being kinder to enemy's then he is to allies Patting himself on the back for North Korea with no tangible results and the GOP and supporters is in lock step .. just to get something for themselves

I was under the impression that context was of the utmost importance to you. I didn't care about specific things that Got Stripers brought up. And I said the only thing I intensely cared about re Trump is hoping that he had the chance to nominate at least 2 or 3 SCOTUS Judges.
There are a lot of things in my life that I care about more than any of the above, especially more than concerns about what leftists think or believe about Trump.

It’s not what we believe that we want to comment on, at least from my perspective, the actions, means and methods of DJT don’t really need to much interpreting. Nothing like we’ve ever seen in politics before, yes shades and glimpse at times and again I see some may feel his means justify the ends. Since I don’t agree with much of his end game, I certainly take great offense to the means. I’m frankly embarrassed at times this man is our POTUS.
